Milestone for the lowering of Central Railway Lucerne

The lowering of the Central Railway Lucerne has reached ist first peak on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009: after ten weeks hard working, the Hubelmatt pilot tunnel was broken through.
In the future Bonetti AG and Implenia will construct together
Andermatt, 30 October 2008 – The construction company Bonetti Bros.Ltd. has decided to take on prospective activities jointly with Implenia Construction Ltd. Central Switzerland. Therewith, the company of Andermatt joins in with Switzerland's largest construction company with its approximately 5'400 employees, and, hence, will be able to enhance its performance on the regional market. Implenia Construction Ltd. will take over human ressources and inventory of the head quarter in Andermatt as well as at the affiliate in Amsteg by 1 January 2009.

The central main station of Zurich is the linchpin of the Swiss railway traffic. The Durchmesserlinie Zurich forms an important contribution to raising capacity for the steadily growing crowds of people. It runs from Altstetten to the main central station of Zurich, and continues on to Bahnhof Oerlikon. The third construction section is devided into section Lose 3.1 and Lose 3.2 and includes underpinning the southern wing of the central station and constructing the Weinbergtunnel to the entrance of Oerlikon.
