Rescuing witness to the 19th Century
Since June 2007 intense construction works are taking place around the Pont de la Machine in the center of Geneva. The aim is to refurbish the construction as well as a to construct a new platform over the water with a landing stage for the „mouettes“ (shuttle boat service) of Geneva. The project is part of the concept Fil du Rhône developed to render the riversides more attractive.
